Myrna: When does a Metis culture become distinctive from First Nations in the fur trade, in reference to its sounds and music? We hear a lot about the dance and music of Red River but this is already with Scottish elements.

Anne: I wonder where the Indigenous men were at these dances, and what they thought about the women taking up with traders?
Conrad: Anne has a great question. I believe your book mentions it was mostly indigenous women joining the dances. If that's true, why? Sorry no microphone
