The Current Situation in Germany

After the Russian invasion of Ukraine earlier this year, Germany and many other European countries have been dealing with a major energy crisis. Utility bills are suddenly twice as high (or even more!), small businesses are closing, and people are turning off their heat and hot water to save gas and electricity. Let's talk about what caused this crisis, how people in Germany are affected by it in their everyday life, which measures are being taken to combat this situation, and how this might play out in the long run.
