Turn | grade 8 music theory | ornaments | how to write it in full as it should be played.
A Turn can also be called an upper turn. It is usually used to decorate a melody in the Baroque or Classical Period. In ABRSM grade 8 music theory, students are to write out the turn in full as it should be played. This video will give you a clear principle, whether the turn is on top of a note, in between two notes, or after a dotted note. You may also apply this to your playing. Please enjoy!
