Take a trip down memory lane as Brett Lloyd recalls the highlights of GCG's 45-year history.

The year is 1979, Sony just launched their legendary cassette player called “Walkman” Margaret Thatcher became the first female prime minister of the UK, The Deer Hunter won an Oscar for Best Picture, and the music charts are dominated by Kiss, Blondie and Rod Stewart.

In Australia, we are watching World Series Cricket, a brand new program called "60 Minutes" and NASA’s SKYLAB, as it falls out of its orbit and disintegrates, scattering debris across Western Australia. Petrol costs us a meagre 30 cents per litre and Holden Commodore VB is the country’s most popular car, outselling the brand-new XD Falcon. And this is where the GCG story begins.
