💜The Box Spread Outlined💜

Shuffle the deck and ask your clear and concise question. Once you’re done shuffling, put your cards in 3 rows of 3 cards each, stacked like pancakes. Most people lay the center card down first.

Step 1, the Central Card: This card will represent the subject of or answer to your question, sometimes both!

Step 2, the Corner Cards: These cards will provide thematic context for the overall reading. They frame the reading like a picture frame. Read them as pairs, or go clockwise and consider them individually.

Step 3, the Vertical Rows: The left vertical row of 3 cards will represent the past, and provide some backstory for the reading. The center vertical row will represent the present in the context of the reading. The right vertical row represents the future, how things may turn out according to the reading.

Step 4, the Horizontal Rows: The top horizontal row of 3 cards represents what is on your mind, what you are consciously thinking about, be that anxiety, goals, dreams, and so on. The middle horizontal row represents how you have been bringing those thoughts into the real world, how you have been manifesting them, or attempting to manifest them. The bottom horizontal row represents undercurrents that might be influencing the situation without your notice. Things you should start considering moving forward.

Step 5, the Left to Right Diagnols: The diagonal cards will allow you to see how things are moving along, and can provide you with actionable advice for moving forward. Combine the Top Left with the Bottom Right card as a reading, and likewise the Bottom Left with the Top Right card as a reading.
