The 50 Baht Commemorative Banknote from Thailand was issued in 1996 on the occasion of the 50th Anniversary of King Rama IX on the throne. The banknote has been graded by PMG as Choice Uncirculated 64 EPQ (Exceptional Paper Quality).

The 50 Baht banknote is made of Polymer plastic and is printed in purple on light blue and multicolor underprint measuring 146 x 74 mm.

The obverse of the banknote depicts King Bhumibol Adulyadej in the uniform of the Supreme Commander with royal robes. King's monogram with 50th Anniversary insignia on King's right. On far left, is a transparent window with King's bust, facing front.

The reverse of the banknote features a monument of King Rama VII, as seen on regular circulation notes, Ananta Samakhom Throne Hall on the background and Thai coat of arms on top right corner.

PMG (Paper Money Guaranty) was founded in 2005 as a fully independent third-party paper money grading service.
