Vintage Thrift Flip - Turning a 1980s Dress into a 1940s Suit

I used to thrift flip all the time when I was first learning to sew. Fabric is expensive and I didn't want to waste that money if I messed up. I stopped though when I got better because it is a lot more work sometimes than just starting from scratch. While at a thrift store a while ago I came across this wonderfully green vintage1980s dress and I couldn't resist thinking about all the wonderful thing I could do with it so I bought it. I'm not going to lie, it was a struggle but I love how it turned out. Since finishing this 1940s style suit has become a staple in my daily wardrobe. I think I might add vintage refashions into my sewing plans more often!
