Swerve Digital brings you IBX, Brazilian DJ and resident of Dr. Soleado, with his About Music EP, which features two original tracks, both providing strong Tech-House vibes with edgy basslines and dark undertones, and two contrasting remixes from Holt Blackheath & Harry Ley which offer a brand new experience from the leading track.

‘About Music’ offers a structured pumping techy sound lifted by the prominent vocal which carries the energy of the track emphasised by the strong build ups. The punchy bassline alongside the energetic hi-hats help to compliment the groove, giving it a real underground sound.

‘Sleazy Funk’ again has that dark underground sound but portrays it in a more settled manor with slow lifting builds, which intensify before hitting you with a real fist pumping melody. Once again the vocal patterns used to give the track depth and pull you in.

The first remix of ‘About Music’ has been produced by Holt Blackheath whom has released tracks on the like of Madtech & Cuff to name a few. Holt’s remix has injected a real dark bass to the track by pulling back the vocal slightly and implementing a selection of rhythmic spacey sounds, which takes the track off in different directions throughout.

The second remix comes by way of Harry Ley. He keeps true to the vocal and sustained those intense build-ups but he has used his unique style and sound to introduce sub-bass injections and a siren synth melody to give it more of current House genre vibe.
