Edge returned a month later on Sunday Night Heat against Jeff Jarrett. At the end, Jarrett’s manager caught him and he fell on his face and Edge pinned him to win the match. Two weeks later, he appeared on Heat again, this time against Brian Christopher. At the end, Edge caught Brian and hit him with a spine buster. Then hit him with a spear. Edge got knocked down, then he dodged Brian. Then Edge hit him with a Downward Spiral and pinned him to win the match. At Summerslam, Marc Mero and Jacqueline teamed up against Sable and a mystery partner. And it was Edge. At the end, Sable hit Mero with a frankensteiner. Went for the pin but she dodged Jacqueline. Edge pushed Mero into Jacqueline and Mero fell down, then Jacqueline fell down too. Edge hit Mero with a downward spiral. Edge and Sable hit Mero with a wheelbarrow facebuster and Sable pinned him to win the match. Edge returned against Mero on Raw. At the end, Edge jumped outside on Mero. Then Gangrel attacked Edge, but Edge hit him with a spear inside the ring. And they continued to brawl inside the ring.
