Decked in a smooth coat of spotless black paint, sporting an attractive two-tone interior and featuring a modern Chevrolet drivetrain, this super slick tri-five is an exceptionally restored award winner that is ready for endless nights of carefree cruising.

Logging just 125 miles since a first class frame-off restoration, this picturesque '57 Chevy utilizes the highest quality replacement parts on the market to create a no excuses car with classic good looks. When the obligations of a "correct" restoration are removed, you'd be amazed what a seasoned fabricator can do to vintage sheet metal. And during this car's extensive rebuild, every piece of its body was honed and fine-tuned until it was as close to perfect as it could get. Once that canvas was fully prepped, a fantastic coat of jet black paint was professionally sealed in a thick clearcoat shell, the car's panels were re-assembled into arrow-straight surfaces, and everything was buffed to a glare inducing shine.

Centered in this hot Chevrolet's glossy black engine bay is a fully dressed, great sounding 350 cubic inch V8 which produces 330 horsepower. At the top of that smooth small block a polished, "Heartbeat" branded air cleaner funnels air into a Holley 4-barrel carburetor that's connected to Russell fuel lines, a Russell fuel filter and a chrome mechanical fuel pump. At the base of that free flowing Holley, a chrome Edelbrock intake props an MSD Blaster 2 coil in front of a billet points distributor which shoots sparks through a fresh set of billet loomed MSD Super Conductor plug wires. At the sides of that mirrored intake, chrome "Chevrolet" branded valve covers hang above ceramic coated Street and Performance shorty headers which send spent gases into a great sounding true dual exhaust system. At the front of the engine a modern serpentine system, which is complete with a full set of chrome pulleys and polished brackets, spins a chrome alternator, a chrome AC compressor and a small power steering pump behind a giant chrome pulley fan. And in front of that serpentine system, a polished fan shroud frames an equally large electric puller fan that's mated to a polished aluminum radiator which is complete with body-matched corrugated hoses, a smooth chrome cap and a familiar polished overflow tank.

Behind that engine, a new 700R4 4-speed spins torque through a fully rebuilt Posi-traction rear end that's packed full of stout 3.73 gears. Holding that road ready drivetrain in place is a fully rebuilt suspension which includes correct double A-arms up front, correct leaf springs out back and a fresh set of Monroe Sensa Trac shocks. Modern car turning characteristics are provided by a fresh power steering system. Short, confident stops come courtesy of power front disc and rear drum brakes. At the center of the floor, a custom mandrel bent exhaust system sends spent gases through an H-pipe crossover, great sounding Flowmaster mufflers and spotless Borla tips. And putting the power to the pavement is a sweet set of 17 inch Boyd Coddington Smoothie IIs wheels that are outfitted with new 245/45 front and 255/45 rear Kuhmo Ecsta radials.

Climb inside this '57 Bel Air and you'll find a great looking black and silver interior that's every bit as dramatic and cool as the exterior of the car. Covered in fresh silver vinyl, traditional black patterned inserts and bright silver piping, the car's bench seats are all-day comfortable and free of any wear marks wrinkles or annoying creases. On the doors, two-tone black and silver panels look great behind a familiar array of stainless trim and chrome handles; and at the front of the car, a curvaceous black dash is detailed with traditional tri-five stainless, a fully functional AM radio and controls for a Vintage Air heat and air conditioning system. In front of the driver, a retrofitted Impala steering wheel spins around a chrome column shifter, a trio of Auto Meter mechanical gauges and a metallic silver instrument panel which features a familiar bowtie branded speedometer. And behind the cockpit, two great sounding Pioneer speakers hang over a fully restored trunk which features attractive black and silver accent panels and a hidden remote controlled 10 disc CD changer.
