Pasta Salad:
Trumpet shaped pasta, cooked and cooled
Arugula
Kalamata olives, pitted and halved
Sundried tomatoes
Fresh mozzarella
Shaved parmesan
Red onion
Pomegranate arils
Apple slices
Prosciutto, baked until crisp
Delicious Dressing:
Olive oil
White balsamic vinegar
Red wine vinegar
Fresh garlic, about 1-2 Tbsp
Honey, about 3+ Tbsp
Black pepper and Salt
Red pepper flakes
Combine all ingredients in a well sealing container and shake shake shake, shake shake shake, shake your dressing, shake your dressing!
Assembly: Cook pasta per box instructions, rinse with cold water and set aside to cool.
Meanwhile, cut olives into halves, rough chop sun dried tomatoes, and thinly slice apple (we also cut in half). Open pomegranate and collect arils.
Once pasta has cooled, in a large bowl add your ingredients (in the order listed above), crjj in making that perfect prosciutto on top last. Then, dress the salad and gentle toss to coat and combine. Enjoy!
Brie Bread:
Ciabatta loaf
1/2 stick salter butter (softened)
2 tablespoons minced garlic
Italian flat leaf parsley
Pinch of Salt, pepper, and garlic
Brie
4 slices of bacon cooked, reserve the bacon grease
1 cup chopped walnuts
3 Tbs. of Honey
sprinkle of chili flakes
chives, finely sliced
Preheat oven to 357F. Combine butter, garlic, parsley and seasonings in small bowl. Spread evenly over Ciabatta.
Slice Brie thinly, about 1/4 inch strips. Distribute evenly over the Ciabatta. Place into oven.
Bake for about 10 minutes until Brie is melted
Meanwhile, toast walnuts in bacon grease, once toasted, add it chili flakes and honey.
Once bread comes out of the oven, top with walnut mixture, add crumbled bacon, and sprinkle on chives. Top with a little more honey and enjoy!!
Shallot Tarte:
10 Sallots+/- depending on pan size
1 to 2 tbs. Butter
Drizzle of balsalmic vinegar glaze
drizzle of honey
1 tsp. fresh thyme leaves
1/4 cup crumbled goat cheese
Salt and pepper
1 sheet puff pastry cut into 8 inch circle (or pan size)
Preheat oven to 400 degrees
In pan, add butter and seasonings(Chili flakes, garlic powder, paprika)
Peel and half shallots
arrange them in your pan on top of seasoned butter.
Let these cook on med-low for about 10 minutes
add in balsamic glaze, honey, thyme, goat cheese, and a pinch of salt and pepper
Add puff pastry circle on top, score to vent, and transfer entire pan to oven (MAKE SURE YOU USE AN OVEN SAFE PAN!!)
Bake for 10-15 minutes until puff pastry is golden brown. Let sit for 10 minutes to cool, and flip out of pan onto platter! Enjoy!
