Using discarded vape cells for a 18 to 24 Volt battery. (part 1)

Описание к видео Using discarded vape cells for a 18 to 24 Volt battery. (part 1)

Battery built using six 1500mAh cells (3500 puff) from vapes found in the street and a 6S 15 Amp battery protection pcb from eBay. This is dangerous as incorrect wiring could cause a fire. Wires of a larger current carrying capacity should have been used for 0 and 24 volt and the cells wrapped in heat resistant tape to avoid short circuits. Extra safety could be achieved if the cells were placed back in the metal vape containers. Six voltmeters are used to show the state of the cells, unfortunately from 9 to 15 minutes 3 of these meters flash which could affect some people. The cells are charged using 25 volts, but charging stops when the first cell reaches 4.2 volts as this is not a balanced charger. A load of four 12V (2 in series to give 24V) 21 Watt car bulbs is used to test the cells for a few seconds at 3.3 Amps (~70Watts). It is hoped a second video will test the battery capacity and work out the protection board schematic.
