HOT lap on the ASTON MARTIN VANTAGE GT4 | YAS Marina Circuit

Just when I thought my experience at the YAS Marina Circuit was a one timer, here I am a back in this amazing circuit a week later and this time I am driving something with covered wheels - a brand new Aston Martin Vantage GT4!

Honestly, I went unprepared as this was very short notice and last minute. Compared to the F3000 I drove a week earlier, the Aston might seem easier to drive..However, once you are squeezed and tucked in the car, you realised you have only this much visibility in front, little, close to nothing visibility to the driver window side, which make cornering to the left so very hard, which all resulted in the end to be one of the most if not the most difficult driving experience I have ever done.

Since the car has quite a large chassis and it has a 4L V8 Turbo engine, carrying more than 500 bhp, it requires strong breaking effort at the of each straight. In this video it is apparent how my driving needed guidance from the instructor sitting next to me, which in the end allowed me to have a smoother lap. Despite the suggestions onboard, I was only pressing less than half breaking force, which for me was hard to believe and yet the car was not slowing down!
