Influence Requires Discipline

To live successfully at a high level of impact and influence, you must commit to a higher level of discipline. Your discipline needs to match the level of your impact. Without this balance, influence can lead to entitlement and arrogance. As Proverbs 16:18 warns us, “Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall.” The only way to maintain humility is to keep yourself in a reality check mindset. When you achieve high impact, without a corresponding level of discipline and accountability, it compromises your actual impact. Your songs, your messages—they won’t come from the same place of authenticity. Balancing your influence with necessary humility requires continuous effort and dedication.
