Opposition slams Maharashtra govt over 'casteism' as farmers forced to mention caste

Farmers in Maharashtra were in for a rude shock. They have to mention their caste if they want to purchase fertilizers. The order strictly means that if the farmers fail to provide their castes, they will not be allowed. The move has not gone down well with the Opposition. Both the Congress and the NCP have called it 'anti-farmers.' Now MVA leader Aaditya Thackeray has said that 'Shiv Sena never believed in politics of caste and creed.'
