Môle-Saint-Nicolas is located in Haiti. It is a commune in the north-western coast of Haiti. It Is where Christopher Columbus landed, on his first voyage to the Americas on December 6, 1492. The town received its current name due to France gaining control of the western part of Hispaniola at the end of the 17th century.

Tortuga is a rocky, mountainous island in Haiti, just off the northern coast of the mainland. Tortuga island, lies to the north of Hispaniola (what used to be Haiti + the Dominican Republic) and was known to be a pirate haven. The island was quickly named by the Spanish conquistadors, "Tortuga" because of its shape that resembles a turtle. Tortuga served as the ramshackle haven for pirates, rogues, scoundrels, outlaws and sailors in the Caribbean.
