The Netherlands is a major transit hub for military supplies from the United States to Poland and then to Ukraine. According to the country's Defense Ministry, thousands of containers of military cargo delivered here are sent to their destinations by sea, rail, and road.
Against the backdrop of growing supplies to the Kyiv regime, the Dutch military department is expanding railway lines in ports using EU funds and has purchased a large batch of new platforms for container shipping from the company Greenbrier EU.

“Without fast and reliable logistics it is impossible to conduct military operations. It is therefore important that the armed forces have the means to transport large quantities of equipment and supplies”, explained their acquisition in the Ministry of Defense, indicating that these will be the first platforms of this type in the Dutch army.

At the same time, the Benelux countries - the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg created a single logistics centre, combining the military transport capabilities of the three countries. “This will directly contribute to the fulfillment of the main task - the protection of our own territory and the territory of our allies”, the Ministry of Defense indicated.

The Operational Support Command Land ground force, numbering 5 people, is called upon to participate in combat operations in the interests of the alliance, and is intended "to deploy Dutch soldiers anywhere in the world."
“The threat of war from Russia is real. It is not unthinkable that a NATO member state would be attacked. As an ally of the alliance, the Netherlands must take responsibility in such a case. And we must be prepared”, said Operational Support Command Land Commander Nicole de Wolf-Fabritius. According to her, this year NATO held the largest exercise in the last 30 years, “Steady Defender”, in which 90 thousand troops from all over Europe took part. During these maneuvers the Netherlands showed that it is “good at logistics solutions”.
