In 1965, a small recording studio in Sanremo began capturing the magic
of the Mediterranean in music. For ten years, Riviera Records discovered
and produced unique talents who blended Italian melodic tradition with
American jazz, Californian surf rock, and Brazilian bossa nova.
After 50 years in a forgotten warehouse, the original master tapes have
been discovered, restored, and digitally remastered. This channel brings
this lost music back to light for the first time since the label closed in 1975.

🎤 THE ARTISTS

MARCO BELLINI (1940-2003)
Italian crooner and romantic balladeer. His warm baritone and Gino Paoli-
inspired style made him the "gentleman of Italian pop."

LUNA COSTA (b. 1947)
Ethereal soprano who brought Brazilian bossa nova to the Italian coast.
Her intimate, whispered vocals created dreamlike Mediterranean atmospheres.

I MARINAI (1964-1968)
Genoa's answer to Dick Dale and The Ventures. Their reverb-drenched guitar
work brought surf rock to Italian beaches with a distinctive Mediterranean flavor.

LE RAGAZZE DI ROMA (1965-1971)
Italy's premier girl group, combining Ronettes-style harmonies with
Italian pop energy. They were icons of 1960s youth liberation.

VITTORIO & GLI ANGELI (1966-1973)
Sophisticated jazz lounge ensemble that filled Riviera cocktail bars with
bossa nova rhythms and elegant piano arrangements.

Vittorio Castellani founded Riviera Records in 1965 with a vision:
capture the soul of the Italian Riviera in music. Over the next decade,
his small but passionate team recorded over 200 songs across multiple genres.
When the label closed in 1975, the master tapes were stored in a Sanremo
warehouse and forgotten. In 2025, they were rediscovered during a building
renovation. After months of careful digital restoration, we're sharing this
musical time capsule with the world.
