I made a floating chair! Building a Tensegrity chair held up by tension || Amir Creator

I challenged myself to create a chair based on tension, using only rope and wood as the main materials. This was a very challenging build, but I am very pleased with the way it came out! it has a pirate ship/ sailing ship look, and sitting on it feels like being on a ship with subtle suspended movements and creaking wood. Tensegrity, tensional integrity or floating compression is a structural principle based on a system of isolated components under compression inside a network of continuous tension, and arranged in such a way that the compressed members (usually bars or struts) do not touch each other while the prestressed tensioned members (usually cables or tendons) delineate the system spatially.
