Fulltime Vanlife in the Blue Mountains but first, some van build

Описание к видео Fulltime Vanlife in the Blue Mountains but first, some van build

The biggest problem with a self built camper van is that once you start living in it, it's very hard to find the motivation to finish it off. I've been driving around for the last year with exposed insulation on the ceiling and pieces of cardboard masking the sides of the blinds. Time to get this stuff sorted out!

I spent a week working on the ceiling of my van. After testing a few different methods of making my ceiling panels in the previous video, I settled on using corflute as the substrate for the entire ceiling. The final result was all fabric wrapped and new LED strips were also fitted.

As a reward for a week of hard work, and also to prevent me going totally insane, I headed off to the Blue Mountains, stopping in a little spot outside Wentworth Falls for the night. After a quick look at the falls in the morning, I headed down Mount Hay Rd, Leura to the Lockleys Pylon walking track. Turned out to be about 8.5km return trip, including a little extra down to Du Faur Head to take in some beautiful views over the Grose Valley.

Keep an ear open for some of my vanlifer tips, recommendations and general experiences throughout the video.

My name's Jason. Never one to miss an opportunity to have more fun in my life, after 25 years of working as a Mechanical Engineer, I took a redundancy, moved out of my house and started living full time in my self converted Ford Transit campervan. I pass my days mountain biking, bush walking and generally exploring the beautiful natural attractions that Australia has to offer.
