Russia has launched a massive overnight assault on Ukraine, firing 396 drones and missiles at major cities including Kyiv and Kharkiv, according to Ukrainian authorities. The strikes came as US, Ukrainian and Russian delegations met in the United Arab Emirates for a second day of tripartite peace talks. Ukraine’s foreign minister described the barrage as “another night of Russian terror”, accusing Moscow of undermining diplomacy while negotiations were underway.
