This is a real 442 verified right in the vin. It has it's #s matching motor and trans. Only 1,304 convertibles were made. Recently over $25,000 was spent on upgrades including a performance rebuild of the motor, Ridetech suspension, serviced a/c system and more. It is a turnkey car ready for topless fun!

EXTERIOR: Handsome lines, bold scooped hood, and a nice set of rims. This is a great looking muscle car. The body is straight and fits great. I only found a few small bubbles on the passenger door. The ram air hood fits very well. Repainted its original Sienna metallic color. It is laid out evenly and has a smooth glossy finish. Painted on 442 stripes. The bumpers were rechromed, emblems replaced. New convertible top, upgraded with a rich black German cloth. The power top system was replaced. It is rolling on a modern version of the SS1 wheels. They are 17 inch billet wrapped in BFG G-Force tires.

INTERIOR: The color matched interior is in excellent shape. Seats were reupholstered, door panels were replaced, carpet was replaced and has embroidered mats. The dash area is very good. It has rally pac gauges and a tic-toc-tachometer. It also has an original stereo upgrade with modern internals including Bluetooth. A sport wheel and center console add to the fun. Complete set of seatbelts.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The vin # matching 455 was rebuilt and balanced in 2019 with some performance upgrades. We have the detailed invoice totaling $13,208. Inside is a new crank, bearings a Comp cam, roller rockers and roller timing chain. It has Edelbrock aluminum heads and intake. Edelbrock carb, HEI ignition and headers. The air conditioning was serviced, compressor was replaced, and it was upgraded to R-134 Freon. New power steering and brakes.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Solid metal that's been spatter painted. Under the trunk lid and jamb are glossy. It has new weatherstrip, well liner and correct mat. You will also find some boxes with the original engine parts.

UNDERSIDE: The front end suspension and steering is completely rebuilt. New steering box. It was upgraded with Ride Tech gas shocks and bigger sway bar. In back it has boxed control arms, a Ride Tech sway bar and gas adjustable shocks. It has a dual exhaust system with crossover pipe, Flowmaster mufflers and trumpet tips. New front disc brakes, e-brake assembly is hooked up. Bottom of the motor has an extra capacity oil pan and a fresh starter. The Turbo 400 automatic is vin number matched to this car. It has a 12 bolt rear end. Floors appear to be very solid.

This is a desirable and rare muscle car. It has the upgrades that will make it a reliable and sporty car to drive. It has originality that make it a sound investment. This one should be very easy to justify!

I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail. **These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car make an appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded and you will be given a 1 year membership.
