Описание к видео Climbing Knots: How to Create a Prusik Loop (Animated Tutorial)

The term prusik can be used to refer to both a type of friction hitch as well as a loop of cord. In this video we will see how to create a loop using a piece of climbing accessory cord. A prusik loop is lightweight, and has many uses, including creating friction hitches to backup a rappel, as we as other types hitches used to create a fixed attachment point. Prusik loops are an essential piece of climbing gear, and while they can be bought pre-sewn, they are simply and cheaply created by tying both ends of a 1.5 meter piece of climbing accessory cord using a double or triple Fisherman's bend bend.

CLIMBING IS A DANGEROUS ACTIVITY AND YOU SHOULD SEEK PROFESSIONAL GUIDANCE BEFORE TRYING ANY OF THESE METHODS ON YOUR OWN
