The estate and Castle (Chartreuse), including the 3 houses of the hamlet, have been traditionally restored with old Perigord building materials during a construction and renovation period of 4 years. A team of 14 well-trained professionals from this region was used for this, who mastered the restoration craftsmanship and therefore also work for the Batiment de France. For the architectural part (including all necessary permits), there was close collaboration with the “Batiment de France”, the municipal, regional and national authorities.

The eastern wing of the large courtyard with pond and fountain consists of two slender Pigeoniers. These majestic former outbuildings, connected by a building with an entrance portal to the private garden, are very characteristic and help determine the atmosphere of the whole.

The former outbuildings have been transformed into luxurious holiday accommodations with a centrally located heated swimming pool 14.5 x 6 meters cut out of the rocks, including a very large terrace for at least 18 people, equipped with tiles and mood lighting and also shrouded by palm trees and beautiful matching plants. On the terrace there is also a lounge area with toilet and shower room, entirely in the style of the 17th century.

The pool is secured by an en-Pierre wall with an entrance gate which is a copy of the ancient gate that gives access to the grounds. At the edge of the swimming pool (just beyond) is the technical area (local technology) with a "state of the art" computer-controlled filter installation that meets all European standards for cleaning and filtering water.

This beautiful “Chartreuse” (the Castle) is recognized as one of the most beautiful in the Périgord Noir. But not only that, it is also a profitable estate due to the presence of the 3 prestigious 4 star residences.
