DESIGN DETAILS
This Matlab design is based on vector-controlled induction motor drives. Induction motor drives for variable speed have many common industrial applications. Genetic Algorithm (GA) is used to control the speed of an induction motor (IM). The main advantage of this metaheuristic method (GA) is its simplicity and robustness. The goal of this work is to show that the optimization by GA gives us the possibility of designing a powerful PI controller by optimizing its parameters. Using Matlab 2022a version the performance of the design is validated.
