Скачать или смотреть 2020 UTME: JAMB Delists Over 22 CBT Centres For Defrauding Candidates Of N59m

Over 22 Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres have been delisted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board JAMB for allegedly defrauding 11,823 candidates that sat for the 2020 unified tertiary matriculation examination of the sum of N59 million.


Registrar/Chief Executive of JAMB, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, made this known during a virtual meeting with representatives of the affected centres at the boards headquarters in Bwari, Abuja.

Oloyede said the centres perpetrated the infractions by charging more than the stipulated amount for effecting correction on profile as well as bypassing One-Time Password (OTP) required by the candidates to initiate such changes

While assuring that the board has reversed the changes done illegally by the affected candidates,the Jamb boss affirmed of plans to prosecute the CBT centres

As expected,some of the affected CBT centres took turns to tell their part of the alleged crime.

It is however surprising that Majority of the Affected CBT centres are based in the south east and south south part of the country.
