Frankel's greatest performance? Juddmonte International memories

The Sir Henry Cecil-trained Frankel had won all 12 of his career starts before he stepped up to 10 furlongs for the first time in the 2012 renewal of the Juddmonte International.

Already an eight-time Group One winner by this point, the son of Galileo was sent off the 1/10 favourite for the nine-runner event, which featured multiple Group One winner St Nicholas Abbey and subsequent dual Group One hero Farhh, along with defending champion and Frankel's stable companion Twice Over.

What followed was simply poetry on a racecourse. Under regular pilot Tom Queally, the pair breezed into the lead at the two-furlong pole, producing a dazzling turn of foot to put the race to bed in a matter of strides. The winning margin was seven lengths.
