Duncan Torque - Unboxing Review PLAY

Описание к видео Duncan Torque - Unboxing Review PLAY

Happy holidays everyone! I'm sorry that I haven't uploaded anything recent as the holidays get very busy with everything. This video was suppose to be uploaded after christmas and before the new year...but LIFE.

A brief update, this link is the video to my performance for the Online World YoYo Contest 2021. I was placed 8th. Not bad for someone who hasn't practiced for 15-20 years and having just spent the last 8-9 months getting back into it. Hope you guys check it out:

Now my written review of the Duncan Torque. So I bought this yoyo used on Amazon for around $13-15 (original price I think is $45). I think the packaging that I did the unboxing in wasn't the original box, but I'm only assuming.

The very first impression of the yoyo is that it plays very very stable. I think because of the nipple in the center of cup gives it some weight in the central axis which also helps give the yoyo that bounciness when hitting the string. With it's multi step profile, you would think that the yoyo will be rim weighted especially with that pointy tip (watch the outtake at the end of the video). But with it's design, it's honestly a very balanced yoyo.

What I mean with the Torque being a well balanced yoyo is it covers almost all the bases that any yoyo player would need from beginner all the way to advanced. The yoyo is comfortable to throw, spins nice and long and smooth, has a good response when doing tricks, it's honestly really hard to find any flaws.

Now, it's not "THE" perfect yoyo. There really isn't because we all play differently and look for other things that appeal to everyone. The Torque does feel on the heavier side when doing tricks, but because how it's designed and weight distributed makes the weight as an added bonus. It's on the borderline of a yoyo that would be great for fast play and complex tech tricks. It's not as wide as some more modern yoyos. But these aren't really flaws. They are just additional characteristics that the Torque has.

In short, it's a great yoyo. it honestly feels really good whenever it hits the string. The Torque feels like a 50R/50C weight distribution (R=Rim/C=Center). It's a very well balanced yoyo and if I see another one on sale or something I'm definitely going to pick another one up.
