BACKYARD CHICKEN FLOCK (REVIEW) | HAMPBAR CHICKENS

Описание к видео BACKYARD CHICKEN FLOCK (REVIEW) | HAMPBAR CHICKENS

In this video we will provide a four month update an review of our backyard Hampbar chicken flock. Hampbar chickens were originally developed in Canada in the 1950s to be an autosexing, dual-purpose chicken breed. They were developed by crossing a Redbar chicken with the New Hampshire chicken. Hampbar chickens were beneficial over the other autosexing and dual-purpose breeds because of their light pin feathers which produced a cleaner carcass for the table. This is a very unique breed that is extremely rare. Hampbar chickens are Dual-Purpose; they produce approximately 240 X-Large Brown Eggs per year. Their meat is really good and tasty. Hampbar chickens are calm and friendly. Mature Hampbar chickens weigh approximately 5 or 6 pounds. Hampbars are very cold and heat tolerant. Hampbar chickens can be somewhat broody. All in all the Hampbar chickens have been a pleasant addition to our backyard chicken flock.
