Singapore bolstered its naval capabilities by commissioning two advanced submarines designed to safeguard vital sea lines of communication.

Singapore PM Lawrence Wong commissioned the Invincible-class submarines called RSS Invincible and RSS Impeccable.

While these vessels are primarily intended for the city-state’s defence, experts suggest their reach will extend well beyond Singapore’s waters, enabling the navy to monitor and secure strategic areas across the broader region.
