Ukrainian refugees attend Sunday Mass in Chisinau

(20 Mar 2022) Ukrainian refugees joined Moldovans at church services Sunday in Chisinau, as people displaced by the Russian invasion continue to cross to Moldova from Ukraine.
Angelica Gretsai, a refugee from Kharkiv, said she had fled to stay with relatives she had never met in her life.
"I want to go back home, to be in my own place, I'd like to believe the house is still intact, my relatives and friends to be alive, because at this moment we don't know what's going to happen to Kharkiv," she said.
She was lighting candles just before the Orthodox service at a small church in Chisinau and said she prays for peace and reconciliation between Russians and Ukrainians
