The LEGEND of aluminum shields. Myth or Fact??

For a short time in the 1960's the Fender Stratocaster had a full aluminum shield under the pickguard to protect it from unwanted noise. Legend has it that Stevie Ray Vaughan's and Rory Gallagher's Stratocasters sounded so good because they these shields. So forget the Tube Screamer, heavy strings or bottles of whiskey. An aluminum shield is what you need! 😂

Well, ofcourse not. But I wanted to check if there is some truth behind this myth with an a/b test! What do you think? Let me know in the comments!
