Vitamin E is one of the essential vitamins which our body requires. And I think a lot of media and a lot of social interactions have told us that it's very important for the skin and the hair. First of all, I would like to take this opportunity to inform all of you, those of you who do know and those who don't, that Vitamin E is a fat-soluble vitamin. So if you have to consume it, if you have to absorb it, or if you have to apply it, you will have to give it a base of something which contains fat so that it becomes available to the skin. So now coming to the application on skin, you can use it mixed with any oil which is friendly to the skin. Namely, there are three oils: Coconut oil, Olive oil, or, in fact, pure Ghee. Any of these fat types. You can take either one of these oils and mix a little drop of Vitamin E in it and apply it every night. Because Vitamin E is reparative, it repairs your skin. It is best applied before going to bed so that you give it some time for you to repair yourself. The same goes for your hair. So whenever you need to apply Vitamin E to your hair for your hair growth as well as for the shiny part of your hair, you must mix it with an oil and then apply it and do not use very hot water to wash off either your face or your hair after application of Vitamin E so that it gets imbibed much properly. Vitamin E is supposed to be an antioxidant. Now this is a very common term which everybody uses these days. Let's take a minute to understand what antioxidants are and what antioxidants are good for. We have a lot of processes happening in the body, like metabolism, repair, and food consumption. For example, when we consume a chapati, we absorb carbohydrates. So, between this process of conversion of food to some kind of resource which is used by the body, there are certain elements which are released in the blood, which are known as free radicals. Now these free radicals are like, let's assume the leftovers of a process. So they're not useful for any of the building processes. They're not helpful for any body processes. They need to be eliminated. But by their nature, they can go and latch on to any area, any part of the body and create damage. That is where an antioxidant comes in. It is like a chemical process. So it attaches itself to the free radical and does not allow the free radical to cause further damage. So one of the places where we use it is also for the skin. The skin is an overexposed organ. So it has a lot of propensity to be affected by free radicals. An antioxidant applied to the face, applied to the hair, allows those free radicals to be neutralised. That is why Vitamin E is a very good application for the skin, for the hair, to avoid damage from the sun, damage from air, and damage from pollutants. Vitamin E is one of the essential vitamins which the body needs. Now, it is needed for cell repair. It is very, very essential for any kind of long muscle’s elasticity. It is very good for your facial muscle elasticity as well. So, there cannot be too much of it. And number two, Vitamin E does not come as Vitamin E except if you're taking capsules. But if you're taking nuts, if you're taking seeds, if you're taking green leafy vegetables, because it's a combination of so many other nutrients which you will get from these foods, you can never really go wrong with Vitamin E. But as far as when we come to the use of capsules, see Vitamin E is a fat-soluble vitamin because it is itself coming in a package of fat.
