PM Modi inaugurated Atal Bihari Vajpayee Sewri-Nhava Sheva Atal Setu in Navi Mumbai on January 12 worth over Rs 17,840 crores. The majestic bridge is about 21.8 km long 6-lane bridge, having about 16.5 km length over sea and about 5.5 km on land. The bridge purportedly helps minimize a 2-hour journey to a 20-minute drive proving it game changer for Mumbai's transportation network. Months later, taking to ‘X’, famous actor Rashmika Mandanna lauded the sea bridge calling it a “majestic marvel” as she shared her experience. Retweeting her post on May 16, PM Modi said “Absolutely! Nothing more satisfying than connecting people and improving lives”. Earlier, in an interview with ANI on May 14, Mandanna called India the “smartest country” saying India has grown brilliantly in 10 years. The link features interchanges at Sewri in Mumbai and Shivaji Nagar, Jassi, and Chirle on National Highway 4B at the Navi Mumbai end. It provides faster connectivity to Mumbai Intl Airport & Navi Mumbai Intl Airport and also reduces travel time from Mumbai to Pune, Goa & South India. Notably, Atal Setu is the longest bridge in India and also the longest sea bridge in the country
