After teaching a technique that involved attacking the opponent's orbital socket, a student of mine asked why we should be mindful of the damage we're doing even to those trying to harm us.

I see a lot of videos discussing and showcasing just how destructive one art is against its intended target. What I don't see a lot of is the conversation about being held accountable for what we do. Yes, there are those times where the most extreme techniques are necessary (hopefully we don't come across them), but in the middle between no engagement and fight-to-the-death, there is a massive gray zone where the law and the courts can decide the correctness of our actions. This video showcases such a conversation in the middle of class.

Martial Arts cannot be a study in "flight from responsibility."
