A DIY wind fairing addition to the Front Runner's wind fairing that will absolutely eliminate wind noise at all levels of speed on the road to adventure.

As one will find out, if not already, the wind problem arises when a roof rack and/or gear is placed onto the roof of a vehicle. The Front Runner's wind fairing does not fix the wind problem when you have added gear the sits high or, like I did, some Front Runner expedition rails. The rails actually increase the interior noise coming from above. So, the Bros who know stuff shot into action.


The story goes;
I currently use the Front Runner Slimline Roof Rack II. The other day, I added the Front Runner's "full expedition rails" to my roof rack. I soon discovered the rails generated a lot of interior cab noise. I had to fix the problem as it was loud and annoying! There was no way I was going to drive my Jeep this way. My brother-in-law and I kicked around some ideas and came up with an idea that neither of us knew how great it would turn out. This video shows how we added a used snowboard ($) we found at Good Will and integrated it into the existing Front Runner's wind fairing ($$$$) to literally eliminate all the noise. We took it for a test drive at all speeds, but it was even impressive at high speeds. All the noise was GONE! Not just a little reduction... but all of the interior noise. My brother-in-law gave each other a high five and then the fun began. People began to stare everywhere we went! No, not at us. At the snowboard wind fairing we made. We received a lot of thumbs up and "nice".
