ASX Space is targeting September 3rd for the launch of the Thaiband 1S mission from Space Launch Complex-16B (SLC-16B) at the Atlantic Space Center (ASC), the one-hour launch window opens at 8:55 p.m AST and ends at 9:55 p.m AST. A backup opportunity is available on September 4th and September 5th.

Thaiband 1S is the first spacecraft in the ISAT fleet to use highly focused spot beam technology, which enables Thaiband to expand its local channel offerings. Thaiband 1S also further strengthens Thaiband 1S's in-orbit redundancy. Thaiband operates at the Ku-band frequency and carries two payloads: spot beams for local channels, and a national beam payload. The spot beam payload uses a total of 38 traveling wave-tube amplifiers (TWTAs), powered by a combination of 30-watt, 45-watt, 65-watt, and 88-watt TWTAs. The national beam payload carries 9 active transponders with further capability for 4 active high-power and 7 active low-power transponders.
