So Turkey is really confusing, cuz what's it's real name? "Turkey" or "Turkiye"? So Turkey was called "Turkey" until 2022, But all of a sudden they had some beaf with the "Turkey Bird", so they asked the UN to change their name to "Turkiye". The main reasons were to represent the Turkish Culture, and ofcourse it's name interferred with the "Turkey Bird". But How come a Literal country and a Bird have a same name? So coincidentally Europe is to blamed for this. You see in Medieval Europe, the Europeans called the Ottomans as "Turchia" or "Turquie". In the 1500s, The English Traders got a bird from Turkish Merchants through the Turkish Trade routes, so English called it "Turkey Bird". But when the Europeans saw the North American "Wild Turkey", they confused it with the earlier "Turkey Bird". And that's how a Bird's name got mixed up with a country.
