have you felt like the Nouveau driver just isn't playing well with video acceleration? You might be correct! Using the program vainfo we should be able to test weather our Nvidia gpu is able to use video decoding in Nouveau. It it returns errors, there is a fix! Using the link bellow with a couple tweaks, we can reinvigorate our old hardware.
