We finally landed a giant arapaima and this thing is an absolute monster. One of the largest freshwater fish on the planet, built like a tank and ready to eat anything that moves, even baby caiman. That’s why you fish for them with giant bait. We hit up a local market, grabbed some dead fish, and Ryan cast it out. The technique? Bait and wait and hope to get lucky. After about ten minutes, we got lucky, and boom, instant chaos. This prehistoric river monster wasn’t going down without a fight. Pure carnage. The water erupted, the rod doubled over, and when we finally got eyes on it… unreal. This thing looked like it crawled straight out of another era like battling a living dinosaur.
