Welcome to this week's watercolour tutorial with Morgaine, where I'll be demonstrating how to paint this handsome stork landing on his nest, against a beautiful simple sunset backdrop.

Equipment List: I'm painting today on Stratford brand watercolour paper, cold pressed, 100% cotton, size A4 or 21cm x 29.7cm, weight 140lb/300gsm. The colours I used today are: Raw Sienna, Burnt Sienna, Indigo, Alizarin Crimson Hue, Payne's Grey, and some White Gouache. The brushes I used are: a large Daler Rowney Aquafine 2 inch flat wash brush; an Escoda Ultimo synthetic mop size 10, and the Escoda Ultimo Evolution 1933 size 20 synthetic mop brush; a Princeton Neptune synthetic round size 4, a Pro Arte synthetic sword liner size Small, and a Pro Arte Series 60 miniature brush size 4/0.
