We take a POV ride on 4x out of 6 escalators in this set that go from the new entrance/ exit of Helsinki Vantaa Airport’s terminal to the rail station concourse. There is a further small set of escalators down to the platforms which will feature in another video soon…

These are very nice and the newest version of Kone’s TransitMaster140 with a newer handrail inlet area design. These were installed in 2021 along with the 4 big glass MonoSpace lifts - replacing (for now at least) the 2013 escalators that were the tallest in Finland - *rather than split into 2 sets like these*, they completed the journey in one ride. That’s because they entered up into the now closed off Terminal 1 area, whereas these open into the newer T2 concourse. It is unknown whether the older, longer escalators will reopen once that part of the Terminal is refurbished - however given how many of these are on the Helsinki Metro, they may just be broken up for parts…
