What plants can you use with the Dude's Terra Sahara

Hey guys and welcome to another episode of Tips & Tricks for what plants you can use with the Dude's Terra Sahara. The BioDudes handcrafted bioactive Terra Sahara substrate is for desert reptiles such as Bearded Dragons, Leopard Geckos, Uromastyx, Desert Iguanas and more! This substrate is specifically designed for biomes that are hot, but have minor/minimum humidity spikes throughout the day. Not only does the Terra Sahara not need a drainage layer, its design allows for proper water retention while holding all burrows and tunnels your critter creates! Terra Sahara provides excellent organic nutrition for your vivarium by creating necessary air pockets for root development and plant health. These air pockets are also necessary for the springtails and isopods to create a sustainable population in the vivarium.

The most important thing when keeping plants on the Terra Sahara is to remember that most of the plants will be eaten, as many desert species are herbivores or omnivores. Most plants will need to be watered once weekly, if that. Stay away from plants such as Euphorbia's, Fire Stick Cactus and other nasties that are very toxic if ingested. Healthy edibles such as Mint, Basil, Oregano, Rosemary, Hibiscus, Sage, and Thyme can all be grown with success in the Terra Sahara to provide grazing/foraging opportunities for your reptiles.
