Unitrain EV Electric Motors

I have taken a very quick and dirty video for the new Unitrain course, Electric drive in cars, commercial vehicles and two-wheelers – CO4204-6N. This course is intended as an “extension” to the CarTrain courses and will go into much greater detail about electric motors, inverters and system main relays. The system main relays are also the latest generation that perform a self-check during the start procedure to make sure that none of the contacts are welded shut. This will be a great little course that explains the technical aspects of electric motors in EVs!

This is not intended to be an in depth look at the system, just a quick overview of the main functions of the unit, as so many people are expressing interest and need to prepare for upcoming budget cycles. I will be doing proper videos in the coming weeks which explores the details in depth. For now, I hope this whets the appetite! The Labsoft course will also contain loads of animations and experiments to bring the system alive.
