Wood, truly one of the materials of all time. In Factorio wood is essential to the early game, allowing us to build chests, power poles, and begin automating production. In the environment, trees help players by eating all that yummy pollution before those pesky biters can get their hands on any. But, in the late game, when you’re getting ready to make the deforestation in the Amazon look like a child picking up a twig off the ground, do you ever stop to ask yourself the important question?

“Is this rampant destruction of the planet’s forests an environmentally irresponsible action that will result in the unchecked spread of pollution leading to my actions sometimes literally biting me in the ass?” No, not that one – biters are easy to fix.

“What the hell am I going to do with all this damn wood?”
