Crimée-Congo Virus is a Nairovirus responsible of one of the hemorrhagic fevers in humans.

A lot of mammalians are non-symptomatic carriers of this virus.

Human can be infected by tick bite or contact with mammalian blood.

The geographic area is wide, including Africa, Asia, Middle East, and South East Europe.

•
Diagnosis is performed by PCR on blood the very first days, and later by serological test.

•
Ribavirin is recommended as a possible treatment by WHO, despite no evidence of efficacy, so far.

•
This infection has to be considered as a threatening emergence in humans.
