Normal values of leucocyte can be something ranging from 5000 to 10,000, though in infants it can be something higher like 6000 to even upto 30,000. But a value of less than 5000 is indicative of low leucocyte count which can happen in certain conditions like very severe bacterial infections or if there is a bone marrow failure or if there is a condition where they have taken a lot of medicines. Because of the cytotoxicity and the bad effects of the medicine, the bone can stop producing the cells and the leucocyte, can go down. It can happen in some conditions like Vitamin B12 deficiencies and folic acid deficiency and in conditions where the spleen is enlarged. These are the conditions where it is enlarged and the value of the leucocyte can go down. We can increase the leucocyte count with certain things in diet like the most important thing that can increase the leucocyte count is the curd and garlic. Other vitamins like vitamin C, vitamin E, Vitamin B12 deficiency, and folic acid and also the supplements like Omega 3 fatty acid are supposed to increase your leucocyte, count. Certain vitamins and minerals like selenium and zinc are required to elevate the leucocyte count.
