The Nedertal is a tranquil side valley of the Ötztal, rising from Oetz to the Kühtaisattel, at roughly 2,020 m, where the divide between the Ötztal and Sellraintal lies. Crossing the Kühtaisattel is a highlight: one of Austria’s highest paved passes, with gradients reaching up to 18% on the western side and 16% on the eastern Sellraintal descent. Situated between the Nedertal and the Sellraintal, the road offers panoramic views and links the valleys via modern road engineering that replaced ancient mule tracks used since the 17th century. At Kühtai, the drive passes right beside an operational ski slope, still open near the end of the ski season. Patches of snow remain at the highest points, providing a stark contrast to the greenery of the lower valleys. Descending into the Sellraintal, the route travels through Gries im Sellrain, St. Sigmund, Haggen, and others—a steep, forested side valley of the Inn with rugged terrain and alpine villages. The road then continues down the Sellraintalstraße (L13) into the Inn Valley and ends near Kematen in Tirol. Sie beginnt im Ötztal und führt über das ruhige Nedertal ins Sellraintal – auf kurvigen, teils steilen Bergstraßen, die kleine Ortschaften und hochgelegene Siedlungen miteinander verbinden. Vom Ötztal aus steigt die Straße über Höpperg, Hausegg und Ochsengarten durch das Nedertal an, einem stillen Seitental des Ötztals, das sich von Oetz bis zum rund 2.020 m hohen Kühtaisattel erstreckt – dem Übergang zwischen Ötz- und Sellraintal. Die Überquerung des Kühtaisattels ist ein zentrales Highlight der Fahrt: einer der höchstgelegenen asphaltierten Straßenpässe Österreichs, mit Steigungen von bis zu 18 % auf der Westseite und 16 % auf der Ostseite. Die Straße bietet beeindruckende Ausblicke und ersetzt historische Saumpfade, die bereits im 17. Jahrhundert genutzt wurden. In Kühtai verläuft die Straße direkt entlang einer noch geöffneten Skipiste – an einem der letzten Betriebstage der Saison. An den höchsten Stellen liegt noch Schnee, während die Täler bereits frühlingshaft grün sind. Auf der Abfahrt ins Sellraintal durchquert die Strecke Orte wie Gries im Sellrain, St. Sigmund und Haggen – ein steiles, waldreiches Seitental des Inntals mit markanter Gebirgslandschaft und typischen Tiroler Dörfern. Die Fahrt endet schließlich im Inntal bei Kematen in Tirol. Gefilmt in Echtzeit, ohne Musik – nur mit authentischem Straßenklang (OSMR) – zeigt diese Strecke die eindrucksvolle Vielfalt alpiner Straßen, Höhenmeter und Landschaften in Tirol.
