Kobe broke the record early in the third quarter with a three pointer on the left wing. As if breaking the record wasn't enough, Kobe decided he'd also go ahead and torch another team for 50 points, making it six 50+ point outbursts on the season. He finished the night with 50 points (17-28 FG), 6 rebounds & 5 steals. The Lakers pulled away from the struggling Blazers 110-99 and the magic number for the postseason became 1.
