Larry King interviews Red Barber on radio.

Описание к видео Larry King interviews Red Barber on radio.

Recorded at the grand opening of Epcot, from the Contemporary Hotel. I had this interview on cassette for years and finally converted it to digital. Larry used to do a late night / early morning show on Mutual Broadcasting System. I don't know where I bought the cassette.

Walter Lanier "Red" Barber (February 17, 1908 – October 22, 1992)
Larry calls him "The best baseball announcer who ever lived".
Red did play-by-play across four decades with the Cincinnati Reds (1934–1938), Brooklyn Dodgers (1939–1953), and New York Yankees (1954–1966).

EPCOT Center at Walt Disney World opened on Friday October 1, 1982. It was Disney's second theme park in Florida and, based on square footage, was the largest Disney theme park in the world at 260 acres (until 1998, when Disney's Animal Kingdom opened). By 1995-96, the name EPCOT Center was shortened to simply Epcot.).
